Fetal Surgery team hosts 2nd Annual Fetal Reunion

The 2nd Annual Fetal Care Reunion brought together 23 families and more than 100 guests for a heartwarming celebration of connection and care. Families traveled from across the Southwest, including Mexico, Sierra Vista, Phoenix, and surrounding areas to reunite with their medical teams and providers who supported them both prenatally and after delivery. 

One of these families was the first fetal surgery for spina bifida (myelomeningocele - MMC) repair in Arizona led by Dr. Ken Liechty and Dr. Anthony Avellino. Read more about it here! 

This event was attended by Allison Flynn Gafney, the CEO of Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and Banner – University Medical Center South, and Cathy Pierce, the Associate Vice President of Women, Infant, and Pediatric Service line, alongside multiple members of the amazing Fetal Care team.
