Welcome to the University of Arizona’s Department of Surgery Faculty Seed Grant Application page!
We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our faculty seed grant program. The grant is designed to support early-stage research projects that have the potential to lead to significant advancements in the field of surgery.
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be a full-time faculty member at University of Arizona and be affiliated with the Department of Surgery. The proposed research project must be conducted on University of Arizona campus and must align with the department's research priorities.
The application deadline is March 30, 2023. The grant will be for a one-year project, starting September 2023 and ending August 2024. To apply, please email the following materials to research@surgery.arizona.edu:
- A detailed research proposal (not to exceed 5 pages)
- A budget and justification for the requested funds
- A CV or resume
- A letter of support from your department chair
The grant amount is $50,000 and it is for a one-year project. The results of the project should be used for an NIH preliminary data grant.
