Department of Surgery Welcomes Dr. Jeffrey Hodges
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson Department of Surgery is pleased to welcome Jeffrey Hodges, MD, MS, as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery’s Section of Minimally Invasive, Robotic, and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Hodges received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He completed his General Surgery residency program at Houston Methodist Hospital. After completing residency, Dr. Hodges served as a Locum Tenens Surgeon in Fort Defiance, Arizona. He completed a Minimally Invasive Bariatric and General Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hodges has five journal publications, two of which he is the first author. These publications have significantly contributed to the field of General Surgery. He has also completed nine poster presentations, one book chapter, and four presentations, all of which have been well-received in the medical community.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive primary and revisional metabolic and bariatric surgery, abdominal wall hernia repair, foregut procedures for gastroesophageal reflux and other general surgical procedures.
Dr. Hodges, a dedicated surgeon, also values his personal time. He enjoys cooking, golf, traveling, and exploring Tucson with his family.
