Amber Shada, MD, FACS, is a UW Health general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery. She also serves as an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Surgery. Shada is fellowship trained in Advanced Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery, and is board certified in General Surgery.
Shada specializes in minimally invasive techniques for esophageal and gastric disorders, abdominal wall hernias, gallbladder disorders, and other issues involving the digestive system. Her research interests focus on endoscopic device development, clinical trials in esophageal, foregut and general surgery, and clinical outcomes in esophageal and foregut surgery.
