Maya El Ghouayel, MD
PGY-5, General Surgery Resident
Originally from New York, NY, Dr. El Ghouayel completed her medical degree at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry before joining the University of Arizona for her surgical residency. During her medical education career, she has received numerous honors and awards, most recently the Department of Surgery Clerkship - Resident Teaching award. After graduation from residency, Dr. El Ghouayel will be going to Tacoma, WA to complete a Minimally Invasive/Complex Gastrointestinal Surgery Fellowship Program at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Pranamya Mahankali-Singh, DO
PGY-5, General Surgery Resident
Originally from Bridgewater, New Jersey, Dr. Mahankali-Singh completed her medical degree at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine before joining the University of Arizona for her surgical residency. She has been engaged in a variety of research throughout her medical education and has participated in and presented various publications. After graduation from residency, Dr. Mahankali-Singh will continue here at the University of Arizona, for a Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Fellowship.
