Alongside our extensive experience in breast, colorectal, endocrine, HPB and plastic surgery, we are proud to now also provide hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to treat the following cancers that have spread to the peritoneum:
- Appendix cancer
- Colon and rectal cancer
- Ovarian cancer
- Gastric (stomach) cancer
- Mesothelioma
- Peritoneal cancer
HIPEC surgery is a procedure that involves removing all visible tumors in the abdomen followed by the application of high doses of heated chemotherapy to treat residual cancer cells. Cancers that have spread to the abdomen are often difficult to treat with traditional chemotherapy alone, and HIPEC can be an effective treatment option.
