Observership/Shadowing Program

***Our Clinical Shadowing/Observership Program has reopened.***

The Clinical Shadowing/Observership Program is an opportunity for individuals interested in medicine to observe physicians from different specialties. Learn what a typical day looks for a physician: What do they do or see all day long? What is the pace of work? This also serves as a chance for you to talk to physicians about how they selected a specialty, how they manage their life-work balance, and how their specialty choice aligns with their goals, values, lifestyle preferences, etc.

Eligibility

This non-credit-bearing program is open to individuals over the age of 18 who have completed all components of the shadowing/observership application packet.

International Observers

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson does not allow international students or physicians to participate in the Shadowing/Observership Program unless invited by one of our faculty members.
